FAQs

  • Is the course self-paced?

Yes! You can take the course at your own pace - whether that’s in one weekend or over weeks or months.

  • How many CEUs are provided in this course?

    24 contact hours.

  • Do I get a CEU certificate upon completion of the course?

Yes! Upon course completion you will receive a certificate.

You will need to check the CEU requirements for your state to make sure the CEU credits can go towards your certification and licensure.

  • Who can take this course? What about the other courses you offer?

At this time, I am accepting occupational therapists, occupational therapist assistants, occupational therapy students, occupational therapist assistant students, and speech therapists / speech-language pathologists into the 24 Hour Feeding Therapist CEU Course and Feeding Masterclass.

Materials were prepared with occupational therapy practitioners in mind and are presented from that perspective.

  • Will I be a certified feeding therapist?

You will receive a certificate of completion verifying the 24 CEU contact hours to complete this course and will be able to include feeding therapy training on your resume and qualifications.

However, completing the 24 Hour Feeding Therapist CEU course does not automatically result in certification. We are in the process of developing a post CEU certification application process for therapists wishing to pursue certification as a feeding specialist.

  • Do you have any other courses or materials that support this course?

Yes! This course pairs well with my books and Feeding Masterclass.

I have two books currently: ‘Beginners Guide to Oral Motor Treatment’ and ‘UnPicky Eaters Workbook’. Both will help in your feeding journey, but the ‘Beginners Guide to Oral Motor Treatment’ pairs particularly well with this course and is designed with new grads and OT practitioners / clinicians in mind. You can learn more and find a link to purchase it here.

The Feeding Masterclass is a small group coaching class that typically meets for 1 hour, 1 time a week, over a period of about 8 weeks. It is offered a few times throughout the year. You can learn more or sign up by going here and reading the next FAQ.
